  Jakks-Pacific toy sale on ABP
25/10/2011

An enterprising and big-hearted tenant on Ascot Business Park, Jakks-Pacific, came with a novel idea of using their products to raise money for a cause that is touching everybody's hearts at the moment – the plight of the starving people in the Horn of Africa. Money is desperately needed to support these ravaged people whose most vulnerable are dying every day.
Jakks-Pacific, ranked no. 5 in the US toy league and with their new European HQ now firmly established at Ascot Business Park, were so affected by this tragedy that they decided to hold a sale of their high quality, branded toys on the park on Thursday, 4th August in 1 Queen's Square with the proceeds to be donated to this worthy cause.

"Apart from being talented and enterprising, our tenants are philanthropic as well!" comments Vanessa Durham, Ascot Business Park's Marketing Manager. She adds, "Jakks-Pacific kindly gave up a two afternoons of their valuable time as well as donating their lovely toys for sale to raise this much needed money and we take our hats off to them. We were more than happy to provide the space needed for them to set up shop."

Comments David Carscadden, Sales Director, "we were so deeply troubled by the tragedy that is unfolding in East Africa that we desperately wanted to do something to help. We are delighted to report that we raised £960 from the sale and we hope that the money raised will go some way to alleviate a little of the terrible suffering. We thank everyone for their support."
